Why Linen?
Linen is a quality staple for people with sensitive skin. It’s the fabrik of choice for a long day out and about as it will keep you feeling fresh for longer because of its antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It’s hypoallergenic - perfect for anyone dealing with allergies, eczema or skin rashes. Flax naturally fights fungi whereas, synthetic textiles inevitably aggravate skin sensitivities because they accumulate moisture creating an ideal environment for germs and microorganisms to thrive.
Back in the day, it was widely known that linen sheets worked for healing and disease prevention; even bandages were made from linen. Linen can effectively suppress pathogenic bacteria and repels dirt. If you need a break from the stress of life, try the lovely soothing effect linen gives!
Linen has longevity it is the strongest fabrik fiber, durable & long lasting for generations. Each wash draws out some of the pectin making it softer with each wash. The flax fiber is tenacious being 3X stronger than cotton. It is naturally lint resistant.
Linen has a natural textured beauty with no need to iron if you hang to dry; unless you are so-so, then you may find yourself needing to iron to your standards. However, the texture will soon return even after ironing. The lovely attributes of linen really outweigh any minor ironing that may be necessary at times.
Linen is an anti-inflammatory fiber. It’s antistatic meaning, it cannot hold an electric charge which is really helpful in reducing chronic inflammation. In contrast, DBP tends to be very prone to static! Consider the benefits of wearing a linen slip for anti static purposes.
Linen is a natural fiber that helps to encourage blood flow & energize the body’s systems in contrast to double brushed poly, which is derived from petroleum and plastics depleting the body of energy. Linen does not absorb any odors, whereas DBP may hold a body odor in the armpits or the entire dress.
Linen has a frequency of 5,000 HZ. The human body has a frequency of 100. cotton has a frequency of 100 HZ. Organic cotton is best, as this is a crop frequently sprayed with pesticides which can be absorbed into your skin.Wool also has a frequency of 5000 HZ. However, if you combine wool and linen fibers, it goes down to zero, just as is mentioned in Leviticus.
Linen is an eco-friendly fabrik crafted from flax fibers. Flax is a drought tolerant & bug resistant crop, and not normally sprayed with pesticides, making them very hypoallergenic. Preferably look for linen fabriks from the flax belt in Europe. Linen is completely biodegradable. When you wear linen the bugs will continue to be repelled from you! A bonus indeed.
Linen is breathable. The breathability of linen is phenomenal in moisture wicking - pulling moisture from the skin. It wicks and absorbs the moisture from your skin, absorbing up to 20% of it’s weight in moisture before you can even notice that it looks wet; it’s quick drying making it a most comfortable outfit!c This is the olden version of sportswear fabrik, making it ideal for layering in the fall and winter.
Linen is thermal regulating. This is the fabric for you if you are normally always hot. It is ALSO the perfect fabrik for you if you are normally always cold! Linen can be layered to perfection for your personal thermostat.
NEVER, never shake linen fabrik! It has the capacity to hold so many pathogens and there is no need to fluff them into the air lowering the air quality.
Wash linen in cold water, with a gentle soap; avoid bleach and softeners as these will coat the fibers with synthetics and void their beneficial qualities.
